The Vatican City in Rome has its own way of governing itself, having nothing to do with Rome, in terms of authority, with the Pope as its leader, and Abokobi operates along similar lines of governance.

At the foot of the Akwapim Range, 26.8km or 17 miles from Accra, sits Abokobi; which is a Christian settlement. On the Accra-Aburi road, one need to branch at mile fifteen before reaching Abokobi.
